The Via Brigitta is an artistic format by students of Applied Theatre Studies Giessen, Curatorial Studies at the Städelschule Frankfurt and the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach. Inspired by former trade routes and today’s pilgrim tracks, the Via Brigitta maintains historical/cultural roots that can be applied flexibly to the surrounding environment. Through the myth of Brigitta, which is newly formed and proclaimed in each city, already existing characteristics and narratives can be reflected critically-affirmatively. With an own homepage and various performative elements, like city tours, press conferences and party formats, Via Brigitta generates attention, occupies public places with a new meaning and directs the focus of attention to the social construction of fiction and reality.
So don’t be afraid of discovering the Via Brigitta in your city!
